Found a reminder from Google — I guess they own Blogger now — that I hadn't posted here in eight years, and they were going to wipe it, such as it is, unless I reclaimed it and made a post. 

So, here's a post. Maybe I should put a reminder in my calendar for eight years from now for the next post.
